# IXM Aqua Introduction

### What is IXM Aqua

IXM Aqua is a web based CMS that communicates with screens. It is a powerful tool that allows you to plan and distribute content on any number of screens whenever you want.

**Before diving in,** let's ensure your system meets the requirements for using our platform. You will need:

- The latest version of the Chrome browser.
- Internet access.
- A IXM Aqua account.

### New to IXM Aqua

To get access to IXM Aqua you first need to create an account for your **user** by following these steps:

1. Click on the activate account link in the invitation email.
2. Fill in your name and set your password, and your account is activated.

*Note: The link is only valid for 7 days; after that, you will need to contact your administrator to send you a new one.*

> ℹ️ **If you are the first user on the account**, the invitation will be administered by your sales representative. Your account administrator can invite additional users.
