Install VAPlayer application
Installing the application VAPlayer gives the capabilities to connect a screen to one of our content management systems (CMS), such as Signage Player 3.
Step-by-step instructions for following devices are provided below:
Windows
Make sure the computer is connected to Internet and that you have admin privileges.
Start a web browser, such as Internet Explorer.
Download the VAPlayer installer from https://dmp.visualart.se/install.exe.
Run the installer.
Enter the installation code you have been given, such as 'sp3', and press Install. The installation code differs depending on CMS solution.
Let the installation proceed, the computer might reboot 2-3 times during this process.
As the installation has finished, the player needs to be activated in the CMS either by secret given on the screen or it's MAC-address depending on CMS solution.
After activation, it can take up to 15 minutes until all settings and content has been downloaded.
Linux x86 64bit
Open a console
Type in follwing (case sensitive):
wget https://dms.visualart.se/linux/VAPlayerInstall_aarch64.exe
chmod a+x VAPlayerInstall_aarch64.exe
sudo ./VAPlayerInstall_aarch64.exe
Linux/Raspberry Pi4
Open a console
Type in follwing (case sensitive):

sudo ./VAPlayerInstall_aarch64.exe
Android 7.1+
Option 1:
Download installer to a Windows computer from here.
Run the downloaded file.
Enable USB-debugging on the Android device.
Connect a USB cable or use Wi-Fi to connect the Android device to the Windows computer.
Option 2 (if device has a camera)
Factory reset device, tap screen 7 times on same place, choose language and scan below QR-code.
After scan, connect to Wi-Fi, on some device then press back if nothing happens.
Samsung Tizen
During initial setup:
Make sure the screen has power and is connected to the Internet. Wireless connection can be configured at step 5.
Set installation type to Basic Setup.
Set Display Orientation to Landscape.
Set Auto Power Off to OFF. (Does not exist on the US market)
Wired connection should now be established and confirmed.
Choose URL Launcher.
Type in given URL (case sensitive), such as https://dms.visualart.se/tizen/sp3, the URL differs depending on CMS solution.
Skip 'Connect to RM Server'.
Set the correct date and time.
Initial setup is now complete, press Enter.
Press F5 on the keyboard or Home on the remote control, and press URL Launcher / Custom application.
Screen will now download and install the VAPlayer application.
As the installation has finished, the screen needs to be activated in the CMS either by secret given on the screen or it's MAC-address depending on CMS solution.
After activation, it can take up to 15 minutes until all settings and content has been downloaded.
After initial setup:
Make sure the screen has power and is connected to the Internet.
Press Windows button on the keyboard or Menu on the remote control, then go to System and make sure Play via is set to URL Launcher / Custom application.
Press ESC or Exit until the menu is closed. Then press F5 on the keyboard or Home on the remote control.
Go to URL Launcher / Custom application settings and press Enter.
Go to Install web application and type in given URL (case sensitive), such as https://dms.visualart.se/tizen/sp3, the URL differs depending on CMS solution.
Screen will now download and install the VAPlayer application.
As the installation has finished, the screen needs to be activated in the CMS either by secret given on the screen or it's MAC-address depending on CMS solution.
After activation, it can take up to 15 minutes until all settings and content has been downloaded.
LG webOS
webOS 3.2+
If remote control is locked, hold the settings button for approximately 8 seconds.
Go to EZ Setting and then SI Server Setting, choose SI Server Setting in next step.
Use following configuration:
SI Server IP (not in use)
Port Number (not in use)
Secure Connection (not in use)
Fully Qualified Domain Name: On
URL: https://dms.visualart.se/webos/sp3/vaplayer.ipk
Application Launch Mode: Local
Application Type: IPK
Auto Set: Off
Local Application Upgrade: REMOTE
Confirm and reboot the screen, wait for the application to start.

webOS 3.0
On the welcome screen choose "Go to Settings" and make sure date, time and timezone are set correctly. Close te settings menu by pressing back/escape.
Press and hold the settings button until an empty toast message appears in the top right corner of the screen.
Now press 8, 0, 8, 0 then OK. This will open the SI Server Setting menu.
Use following configuration:
SI Server IP (not in use)
Port Number (not in use)
Secure Connection (not in use)
Fully Qualified Domain Name: On
URL: https://dms.visualart.se/webos/sp3/vaplayer.ipk
Application Launch Mode: Local
Application Type: IPK
Auto Set: Off
Local Application Upgrade: REMOTE

Chrome OS
Make sure the device is unused, if not do a factory reset.
Connect to to network.
Choose Device enrollment
Enter the given username and password.
Brightsign
BrightSign Series 3, 4, 5 and 4K (HD22x, HD102x, HO523, HS1xx, LS42x, LS445, XCxxxx, XD23x, XD103x, XT24x, XT114x, XT2145, AU335, 4Kxxx)
Option 1 - Installation directly on SD-Card
> Unzip all files/folders in this zipfile to a clean micro SD-card
> Put the Micro-SD card into the BrightSign player and boot it up. It will do several reboots and after around 5 minutes will the SP3 pairing screen/secret be shown.
Option 2 - Installation through inserted USB (USB-C) to SD-Card
> Put the 2 autorun.* files in this zipfile in the root of a USB
> Insert the USB into the BrightSign USB-C slot and reboot it. During the reboot there will be a message that the installation has been copied and a message to remove the USB for the player to continue with the installation (as in option 1 above).
All previous content on the micro-SD will be erased. The Players LS425, LS424 and LS423 all have an USB-C connector. (The USB-disk can be reused in multiple installations)
Philips
Philips BDL4550D
Make sure that the screen is factory reseted.
To factory reset Screen, press “Home” button on the remote and then 1888 → OK
Settings → System → System Tools →Factory Reset
Press Factory Reset and then OK
Wait until the screen boots up again
Chose Language
Under Security Settings make sure that “ADB Over Network” is added to the list
Chose Manual Setup
Display Name is optional
Enable Remote Control
Choose preferred network type
If Ethernet is chosed make sure that you enable it in the next menu aswell
Skip Cole media files
And Finish.
Press “Home” on the remote again and choose rotation under “Configuration 2 “ and System Rotation to landscape or Portrait
Go to the home 1888 menu again → Setting → Go to About → Press Build number 7 times until you are a developer
Connect a USB cable to the USB ADB port or have a windows computer connected to the same network (preferred).
add IP for the screen and port 5555.
The screen will have a popup “Allow USB debugging”,
Press “Always allow from this computer” and ok.
Run the installation again.
Follow the instructions for allowing VAPlayerWeb to be pinned.
Reboot the screen.
Know limitations: Black screens between videos and pictures due to only one video tag is supported.
